Gas heating services

If you are thinking of investing in a complete, brand new central heating system, or simply replacing an old boiler that has had its day, there are now even more good reasons than ever for choosing a new boiler.

  • High-efficiency condensing boilers are by far the most efficient and economical type of boiler you can buy – and all our boilers are rated among the most efficient of all.

  • You can save on your gas bills – yet enjoy total heating and hot water comfort.

  • B and A condensing boilers produce significantly fewer and cleaner greenhouse gas emissions.

  • All our boilers meet all the requirements of the latest Government Building Regulations. Part of the UK’s commitment and initiative to help combat global warming, these stipulate that from 1st April 2005 virtually every new boiler installed in homes in England and Wales should be of the high-efficiency condensing type.

Technology that’s so highly rated

Like fridges, washing machines and other domestic appliances, new boilers carry an energy efficiency rating. Every one of our boilers are officially rated in SEDBUK Band A – the highest efficiency band achievable. This means that all condensing boilers are more than 90% efficient, compared with only around 72% for older non-condensing boilers.By utilising heat that is normally lost and wasted through the flue, a condensing boiler can reduce your heating bills by up to 30%, compared to a conventional boiler.

A boiler to suit every home and lifestyle

As heating and hot water requirements can vary dramatically from one household to another, the Really Green Heating Company range gives you a choice of three different types of high-efficiency condensing boiler. Here are a few guidelines to deciding the best type of boiler for you, but we can advise you with the best option.

Consideration Most suitable boiler
You may want to use your loft space for a room conversion or other purpose COMBI
You live in a flat or bungalow (i.e. have very little or no roof space) REGULAR OR SYSTEM
Your home has more than 2 bathrooms REGULAR OR SYSTEM
Your mains water pressure is low REGULAR, SYSTEM OR COMBI
You want to replace on old boiler to improve an existing conventional central heating system COMBI
The number of people in your household means that there is a regular demand for hot water on tap, but waiting for the tank to constantly refill and heat up is, or would be, inconvenient. COMBI

Underfloor heating

Underfloor HeatingIs it effective?

To work effectively, underfloor requires water temperatures of between 45oC and 55oC. These temperatures are easily obtained by blending flow water and return water from the underfloor system by means of a thermostatic mixing facility supplied.

Is it expensive to run?

No, advances in material technology make it possible to have a cost-effective heating system that incorporates energy efficiency and high performance, utilising low water temperatures of between 45oC and 55oC. Typically, radiator systems operate on higher temperatures, thus making them less cost effective in the longer term.

Do you sell the system in kit form?

No, every system is custom made to individual project requirements including bespoke design. Myson believes it is important to design every underfloor heating system individually so that the exact heat requirements of the room can be met. The danger with kits is that the heat requirement is calculated incorrectly leaving the room with inadequate heat.

What guarantee does the system carry?

All pipe work is guaranteed for 10 years and all controls are guaranteed for 12 months from date of installation.

What heat output can I expect to achieve?

On screeded floors the approximate output is 100W/m2 in living areas and up to 130W/m2 in hall areas. On plated and floating floor applications the approximate output is 70W/m2. The heat output must be calculated accurately for each room.

What type of boiler is compatible with underfloor?

Myson underfloor heating is suitable for use with all types of wet central heating systems, including gas, oil or solid fuels and conventional, combination or condensing boilers. It is also used for mixed systems with, for example, underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators on the first floor. It is ideally suited to condensing or high-efficiency boilers because of the lower water temperatures they generate.

How does it work?

In basic terms, underfloor heating is plastic pipe buried in the floor, using either a screed, plated or floating fixing method.
